Become a Foster Care Volunteer!

What do foster care volunteers do?

PetsFriends4Life foster care volunteers (also called foster parents) provide temporary care for kittens and cats in their homes.

Some animals only need a home for a few weeks, others may need more time. By offering your time, energy, and home to an animal in need, you prepare the animal for adoption into a permanent, loving home.

PF4L is always looking for foster homes, especially throughout the busy spring and summer seasons.

The more foster parents we have, the more lives we can save!

How Foster Care works:

Fill out application

Foster home pets need to be vaccinated and spayed/neutered

This is a temporary foster until animal(s) is adopted

We do not foster healthy adoptable cats (unless kittens) may change due to discretion of petsfriends4life staff

Foster homes are for special needs cats/kittens

Foster parents should be able to give medication

We check on foster homes during fostering period in the home

PF4L has the right to terminate foster care without notice

Foster homes must abide by city bylaw on fostering
